What is confidential information?
Confidential information is any information not generally available to the community or public through an official company channel. If something is "leaked" you still cannot talk about it until the company makes it public (i.e Leadership approval).
- Examples of the type of information that might be confidential:
- Any information relating to our plans for fundraising.
- Any information relating to our valuation that is not public.
- Information regarding our network release date.
What are your responsibilities regarding confidential information?
In order to preserve and protect against the unrestricted and/or unauthorized disclosure or use of
Confidential Information, all employees & contractors shall:
- Not disclose any Confidential Information to any person (including family, friends, spouse etc.) except as reasonably required in the performance by you or your employment duties and responsibilities or as expressly authorized, in writing, by an Officer of the company.
- Use the diligence and reasonable care to safeguard the confidentiality of Confidential
Information.
- Effect and maintain adequate security measures to safeguard Confidential Information from
unauthorized access, use, and/or misappropriation. (Follow security and IT policies).
- Notify Subspace promptly of any unauthorized use, copying, or disclosure of Confidential
Information and provide all reasonable assistance to terminate such unauthorized use or
disclosure.
- Ensure that any person to whom you disclose Confidential Information in the reasonable
performance of your job duties and responsibilities is made aware of its confidential nature and understands that its disclosure to him/her is conditional upon him/her maintaining its
confidentiality and taking reasonable steps, and exercising due diligence, to ensure it is not
disclosed to, or becomes available to, any other party without the express written consent of
Subspace.
